Engineering the proof layer
As a C2PA member, Thomas owns the engineering of the Shield proof pipeline, from C2PA signing to RFC 3161 timestamping to Polygon anchoring. He architected the multi-signal verification system and the public endpoint on which every Shield certificate can be checked by any third party.
Before MEGGA Shield, Thomas built backend infrastructure for production-grade verification pipelines, with a focus on systems whose outputs have to hold up under regulatory and legal scrutiny.
- Architected the 9-signal verification engine (H1 to H4 creator identity, B1 to B5 brand authorization).
- Built the C2PA Content Credentials + Adobe TrustMark + RFC 3161 pipeline that produces a single public certificate per generation.
- Wrote the Polygon contracts that anchor every Shield certificate publicly and immutably.
- Maintains the public verification endpoint that any auditor, regulator, or third party can query without authentication.
Thomas operates on a single principle: every claim Shield makes has to be verifiable by anyone, without our cooperation, without our permission, and without privileged access.
