About the position
You will own Shield's public verification endpoint: the surface that regulators, journalists, brands, and platforms query to confirm any Shield certificate is genuine, current, and tamper-evident.

- Own the public verification endpoint serving millions of certificate lookups per day.
- Maintain p95 latency below 10 ms across global edge deployments.
- Design the API contract that regulators, journalists, brands, and platforms integrate against.
- Lead on-call rotation for verification uptime (target 99.99%, current 99.997%).
- Collaborate with the Standards Engineer on the C2PA spec evolution that affects the verification surface.
